Ned J. Martello, D.C.,
Dr. Martello was appointed to
the Louisiana Board of Chiropractic Examiners in February, 2009.
Dr. Martello is originally from
Independence, LA, and his family relocated to Baton Rouge in 1972.
He is a 1979 Istrouma High School graduate and a 1989 graduate of Texas
Chiropractic College. From an early age, he was interested in
healthcare - particularly orthopedic surgery; however, on a canoeing
trip in 1984, he injured his back and found amazing results with
chiropractic care from his cousin, Dr. Cosimo "Tony" Martello,
one of the Louisiana chiropractic pioneers. He decided to follow
in his cousin's footsteps! After graduating from TCC, he returned
to Louisiana to practice. In January, 1997, he was asked to
co-author the criteria for chiropractic's inclusion in the LA Medicaid
program. He served on the Peer Review Committee of the LA Board of
Chiropractic Examiners from 1994 to 2009. From 1998 to the present, he participates
regularly as an "examiner" for NBCE's Part IV practical exam.
He has 2 sons ages 13 and 10.
