Ned J. Martello, D.C.,
Board Member
Dr. Martello was appointed to
the Board in February, 2009.
Dr. Martello is originally from
Independence, LA, and his family relocated to Baton Rouge in 1972.
He is a 1979 Istrouma High School graduate and a 1989 graduate of Texas
Chiropractic College. From an early age, he was interested in
healthcare - particularly orthopedic surgery; however, on a canoeing
trip in 1984, he injured his back and found amazing results with
chiropractic care from his cousin, Dr. Cosimo "Tony" Martello,
one of the Louisiana chiropractic pioneers. He decided to follow
in his cousin's footsteps! After graduating from TCC, he returned
to Louisiana to practice. In January, 1997, he was asked to
co-author the criteria for chiropractic's inclusion in the LA Medicaid
program. He served on the Peer Review Committee of the LA Board of
Chiropractic Examiners from 1994 to 2009. From 1998 to the present, he participates
regularly as an "examiner" for NBCE's Part IV practical exam.
He has 2 sons ages 13 and 10.

Mark B. Kruse, D.C.
President
Dr. Mark Kruse was appointed to the Louisiana Board of
Chiropractic Examiners in July of 2000.
A graduate of the National University of Health
Sciences, Dr. Kruse has been in private practice since 1990.
He received his certification in Chiropractic Sports Medicine and
served on the chiropractic medical staff for the 1992 Olympic Track and
Field Trials.
He is a board certified chiropractic orthopedist and a
board certified chiropractic consultant. He is a Fellow of the
International College of Chiropractors.
He is published in the Journal of Neuromuscular
Skeletal System.

T. Harvey, D.C., Board Member
Dr. Wynn Harvey is a graduate from Texas Chiropractic
College in December 1990. He has been in private practice
since 1991 in Pineville, Louisiana, at the clinic formerly
"McHenry & Bates Chiropractic established in
1952.
He completed the Neurosurgery rotation with
Dr. Robert Levinthal, M.D., F.A.C.S., P.A., Pasadena, Texas, in
1990. He was appointed by Governor Bobby Jindal to the
Board of Chiropractic Examiners in August, 2008.

Michael R.
Cavanaugh, D.C.
Vice President
Dr. Cavanaugh graduated from
National College of Chiropractic and went into practice in
1967. Shortly after graduation, he was drafted and served
in the United State Army in Vietnam. Upon returning to the
U.S., he resumed private practice in New Orleans, LA. He was in
the original group of chiropractors licensed in 1974 by then
Governor Edwin Edwards. Dr. Cavanaugh was the chiropractic
consultant for Blue Cross Blue Shield from 1975-1977. He
also served on the Peer Review Committee for the Louisiana
Chiropractic Society and was chosen for the advisory panel of
the LA Board of Chiropractic Examiners for a "peer
review" committee formation and later served on the initial
"peer review" committee until 1997. He received
his C.C.S.P. in 1995 and works with numerous athletes in all
levels from grade school to professional. He was appointed
by Governor Kathleen Blanco to the LA Board of Chiropractic
Examiners on August 25, 2006. He is a member of the
Louisiana Chiropractic Society, the Chiropractic Association of
Louisiana and the American Chiropractic Association.

Jon E.
Zeagler, D.C.,
Board Member
Dr. Zeagler is a native of
Winnfield, LA, and began his college education at Louisiana Tech
in Ruston, LA. Upon his graduation with a B.S. in Finance in
1990, he continued his studies at Northwestern State University
in Natchitoches, LA. After graduating with a B.S. in
Biology from NSU in 1994, he relocated to St. Louis, Missouri,
to begin his studies at Logan Chiropractic College. Since
graduation from Logan with his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in
December, 2000, he has been in private practice. Dr.
Zeagler is a member of the American Chiropractic Association and
a former board member of the Chiropractic Association of
Louisiana. He and his wife have 3
sons.
Dr. Zeagler was appointed to
the Board in February, 2009 by Governor Bobby Jindal..

Buckley VanBreemen, D.C.
Dr. VanBreemen graduated from high school in
Bridge City, Texas and began his college education under a
pre-dental curriculum at Steven F. Austin University in
1971. After transferring to Lamar University in 1973, he
earned his B.S. degree in Biology in 1976.
Dr. VanBreemen taught high school level
Biology and Chemistry in Corpus Christi, Texas for one year
before beginning his chiropractic education at Texas
Chiropractic College in Pasadena, Texas. He later
transferred to Life Chiropractic College in Marietta, Georgia
and received his doctorate degree in chiropractic in September,
1980.
Dr. VanBreemen is a member of the American
Chiropractic Association as well as the Chiropractic Association
of Louisiana and the Foundation for Chiropractic Education and
Research. In 1999, he became a Board Eligible Chiropractic
Orthopedists.
Dr. VanBreemen is a longtime resident
and business owner in Ascension Parish and is a charter member
of the Rotary Club of East Ascension Parish..
Dr. VanBreemen was appointed to the Louisiana
Board of Chiropractic Examiners on September 5, 2001, by
Governor Mike Foster.
