Dwayne L. Burch, D.C., 
Board Member
Dr. Burch completed his undergraduate work at the University of South Florida in his hometown of Tampa.  He received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life University School of Chiropractic in Atlanta in 1980.  Dr. Burch practiced in Hammond, Louisiana for 18 years before joining the staff of River Parishes Chiropractic in October, 1998.  He has distinguished himself on local, state and national levels.
 
Appointed to the Louisiana State Board of Chiropractic Examiners by Governor Edwards in 1993, Governor Foster in 1997 and Governor Blanco in 2004, Dr. Burch has served as President, Secretary/Treasurer, Chairman of the Complaints Committee, Chairman of the Peer Review Committee and presently serves as "Secretary-Treasurer".  He also has been named State Delegate, Proctor and test committee member to the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners.  He is a past delegate to the Federation of Chiropractic Licensing Boards, a past member of the Louisiana State Healthcare Reform Commission and state Medicaid consultant.  He has been a guest lecturer in the  post graduate division of Southeastern University in Hammond, LA and has lectured in the alternative therapies program at Tulane School of Medicine and Tulane School of Public Health, New Orleans, LA
 
 Dr. Burch is a member of the American Chiropractic Association, the Louisiana Union of Chiropractic Physicians and Lions Club International.

Mark B. Kruse, D.C.
President

Dr. Mark Kruse was appointed to the Louisiana Board of Chiropractic Examiners in July of 2000.  

A graduate of the National University of Health Sciences, Dr. Kruse has been in private practice since 1990.  He received his certification in Chiropractic Sports Medicine and served on the chiropractic medical staff for the 1992 Olympic Track and Field Trials. 

He is a board certified chiropractic orthopedist and a board certified chiropractic consultant. He is a Fellow of the International College of Chiropractors.

He is published in the Journal of Neuromuscular Skeletal System.

Kelly B. Faircloth, D.C.
Vice President

Dr. Kelly Boisvert Faircloth graduated Magna Cum Laude from Louisiana Tech University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.  She obtained her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life Chiropractic College, graduating Magna Cum Laude, in 1991.  

Since graduation, Dr. Faircloth has practiced with her father at the Alexandria Chiropractic Clinic which was founded by her grandfather in 1951.

She is presently a member of the Louisiana Board of Chiropractic Examiners, Phi Tau Delta International Honor Society, American Chiropractic Association and "area representative" for the Louisiana Union of Chiropractic Physicians.

Michael R. Cavanaugh, D.C.
Board Member

Dr. Cavanaugh graduated from National College of Chiropractic and went into practice in 1967.  Shortly after graduation, he was drafted and served in the United State Army in Vietnam.  Upon returning to the U.S., he resumed private practice in New Orleans, LA. He was in the original group of chiropractors licensed in 1974 by then Governor Edwin Edwards.  Dr. Cavanaugh was the chiropractic consultant for Blue Cross Blue Shield from 1975-1977.  He also served on the Peer Review Committee for the Louisiana Chiropractic Society and was chosen for the advisory panel of the LA Board of Chiropractic Examiners for a "peer review" committee formation and later served on the initial "peer review" committee until 1997.  He received his C.C.S.P. in 1995 and works with numerous athletes in all levels from grade school to professional.  He was appointed by Governor Kathleen Blanco to the LA Board of Chiropractic Examiners on August 25, 2006.  He is a member of the Louisiana Chiropractic Society, the Chiropractic Association of Louisiana and the American Chiropractic Association.

R. Buckley VanBreemen, D.C.
Secretary-Treasurer

Dr. VanBreemen graduated from high school in Bridge City, Texas and began his college education under a pre-dental curriculum at Steven F. Austin University in 1971.  After transferring to Lamar University in 1973, he earned his B.S. degree in Biology in 1976.  

Dr. VanBreemen taught high school level Biology and Chemistry in Corpus Christi, Texas for one year before beginning his chiropractic education at Texas Chiropractic College in Pasadena, Texas.  He later transferred to Life Chiropractic College in Marietta, Georgia and received his doctorate degree in chiropractic in September, 1980.

Dr. VanBreemen is a member of the American Chiropractic Association as well as the Chiropractic Association of Louisiana and the Foundation for Chiropractic Education and Research.  In 1999, he became a Board Eligible Chiropractic Orthopedists.

 Dr. VanBreemen is a longtime resident and business owner in Ascension Parish and is a charter member of the Rotary Club of East Ascension Parish..

Dr. VanBreemen was appointed to the Louisiana Board of Chiropractic Examiners on September 5, 2001, by Governor Mike Foster.

Kim M. Hardy, D.C.
Board Member

Dr. Hardy is a native of New Orleans and has been practicing chiropractic in her home town since 2000.  She was educated at St. Mary's Academy High School and completed her undergraduate education at Xavier University of New Orleans.  She received her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Cleveland Chiropractic College in Kansas City, Missouri in 1999.

Dr. Hardy is a member of the Chiropractic Association of Louisiana, the American Chiropractic Association and a former president of the Student American Black Chiropractic Association.
